We head off into San Fran,me two up on the back of Scott's bike...not a sight you see very often!
I take a few piccies as we head out on the highway.
Sue follows behind us
Over Bay Bridge
San Fran city skyline
We arrive at Dubbelju ( pronounced "W")
I'm glad this one isn't mine...
...but this one is!
I had been a bit worried that the bike might be a little high for me ( despite having sat on one at Birmingham bike show) but all is ok,with a lowered Touratech seat I can touch the ground tippy toes.
As it is such a beautiful day we head off down the coast, up Pescarado to Alice's Restaurent for lunch.
I'd forgotten just how great the roads are out here-check out the map at the bottom of the post to see just how many twisties we went round!
Alice's is a big biker hang out-here's some Harley riders enjoying lunch
And here's my lunch, one of the many burgers that Alices offer-I went for an Indian with bacon, cheese & onion...yummy
After lunch we headed back home. The temepratures were hitting 79", so I was starting to get a bit warm!
It looks like this weather is set to stay for a few days-so its really lucky that I'm borrowing one of Scott's jackets, otherwise I will be overheating (again!)
Here's the route we took from Dubbelju to Alices:
One more sleep to go,before we head off for the holiday proper!
I will be updating this blog as often as I can,but it all depends on whether there are computers available at the hotels & if I can upload photos from them, as I have not brought my netbook with me this time as it is unwell!
